McDonald's opened its thousandth restaurant in China

McDonald's, the world of fast food, announced the opening of its thousandth restaurant in China, in Guangdong province in southern Afghanistan, while adding that he plans to open 175 more in 2009.

"McDonald's will continue to invest and build China into an ever increasing pace," said Timothy Fenton, president of the group's activities in Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa.

On 22 October, McDonald's reported quarterly earnings above expectations, the group being promoted by the current crisis in the sense that it encourages consumers to focus on cheap restaurants.

On Monday the group, which has more than 31,000 restaurants in over 100 countries, announced an increase of 8.2% of its global sales for the month of October.
