Alitalia announced in a statement that it would have to cancel or delay several flights at the airport of Rome-Fiumicino due to a protest movement illegal without notice announced by a hundred employees of the company.
At midday (11.00 GMT), 25 Alitalia flights were canceled because of this movement which followed a day of protest by pilots and flight opposed to the employment contract offered by the buyers of the Italian carrier.
An investigation into the illegal movement of protest was opened Tuesday by prosecutors in Rome at the launch on the eve of a requisition employees of Alitalia Transport Minister Altero Matteoli.
