The household consumption in manufactured goods increased by 0,6% in France in September after a fall of 0,2% in August, according to data CVS/CJO published by INSEE. The figure of August was revised to -0,2% instead of -0,3% in first estimate, after a confirmed profit with +0,4% in July. Compared to September 2007, the household expenses in manufactured goods increase from 1,5%, according to INSEE. The household consumption in manufactured goods represents the quarter of the total intake of the households in goods and services.
In the field “trades” (retail sales except car, spare parts and products medical), the expenditure increased by 0,6% also in September, after -0,2% (revised of -0,3%) in August. The consumer expenditure in durable goods - means of transport and equipment of housing - increased by 0,4%, with in particular a rebound of 0,7% of the purchases in cars.
